Volleyball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Comes Up Short

Holly Grove Christian lost against Greenwood Mennonite back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Flames. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Holly Grove Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Greenwood Mennonite's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Bethanie Parks paced Holly Grove Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Parks got some help from Anna Leimbach and her eight assists. Madelyn Abell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Greenwood Mennonite can attribute much of their success to Anna Schrock, who had five aces and four digs. Those four digs gave Schrock a new career-high.

Holly Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Greenwood Mennonite, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Holly Grove Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Faith Baptist School on the 25th. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Calvary Christian Academy on the 25th.
