Recap: Williamston Hornets vs. Goodrich Martians
It was a good run, but The Williamston Hornets unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 26-15 to Goodrich. Williamston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Goodrich apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.
Despite the loss, Williamston still got an impressive performance from Noah Dunckel, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for three yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Williamston's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Goodrich, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Williamston will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Notre Dame Prep's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Goodrich, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brandon at 7:00 p.m. Brandon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Goodrich is ranked 37th).
