Softball Game Preview: Jupiter Warriors vs. Wellington Wolverines

The Jupiter Warriors will face off against the Wellington Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jupiter 2.2, Wellington 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Jupiter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Palm Beach Central a 1-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

Wellington played against Leonard on Monday and won via forfeit.

Jupiter pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Wellington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Jupiter couldn't quite get it done against Wellington in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 4-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
