On Saturday, Ridge View faced Blythewood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ridge View Blazers came out on top against the Blythewood Bengals by a score of 64-52. The Blazers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Despite the loss, Blythewood still got an impressive performance from TJ Lewis, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 23 points. The match was Lewis' third in a row with at least 23 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Stephens, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Ridge View's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. As for Blythewood, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 20-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge View will face off against Sumter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Sumter likes a good challenge. As for Blythewood, they will challenge Ridge View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
