Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit North Comes Up Short

Lee's Summit North suffered their closest defeat since March 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Blue Springs Wildcats by a score of 79-76. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Broncos came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Wildcats are ranked 60th).

Lee's Summit North's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Blue Springs, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Lee's Summit North has already played their next contest (against Blue Springs South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Blue Springs will challenge Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
