Baseball Recap: Olympic Heights Gets the Win

The Olympic Heights Lions beat the Atlantic Christian Sharks 6-3 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Camilo Castellon was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Olympic Heights is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise. Castellon was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Matthew Sequera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.

The win got Olympic Heights back to even at 5-5. As for Atlantic Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympic Heights will challenge Katz Yeshiva at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlantic Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jupiter Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
