Softball Recap: Vienna Comes Up Short

Vienna lost against Harrisburg back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 13-1 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vienna saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laney Slife, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Vienna's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Harrisburg, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Vienna will head out on the road to face off against Frankfort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elverado at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
