Wahoo is 8-2 against Wayne since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wahoo Warriors will face off against the Wayne Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Wahoo came up short against Beatrice and fell 38-31. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Orangemen recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Wahoo saw an underclassman step up: freshman Claire Emerson posted 17 points.

Meanwhile, Wayne lost to Battle Creek on the road by a 50-32 margin on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly 18 points.

Wahoo will have to keep a close watch on Reagan McGuire and Lily Gubbels, a pair of players who had a big impact on Wayne's prior game. McGuire put up five points and three steals, while Gubbels had four points. Gubbels continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Wahoo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Wahoo strolled past Wayne in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 46-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wahoo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
