Recap: Punxsutawney Chucks vs. Brookville Raiders
After a string of four wins, The Punxsutawney Chucks''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 14-7 to Brookville. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Punxsutawney couldn't push the score so high this time.
Several Chucks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Martz, who rushed for 131 yards.
Punxsutawney's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Brookville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Punxsutawney will square off against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookville, they will head out on the road to face off against Ridgway/Johnsonburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgway/Johnsonburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Brookville is ranked 198th).
