Soccer Recap: Leander Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Leander was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lockhart Lions by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Leander can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Lockhart is ranked 120th).

Leander's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-3 and their overall record down to 7-4-6. As for Lockhart, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Leander will host Glenn at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lockhart, they will head out to square off against Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
