Softball Recap: Eau Gallie Commodores vs. Rockledge Raiders
Eau Gallie extended their postseason success on Thursday against Rockledge. They came out on top against the Rockledge Raiders by a score of 11-7. 11 seems to be a good number for Eau Gallie as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Emma-Lea (Sis) Cabral was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Shyla Eppert, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
On Rockledge's side, Araya Dalaq led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with a stolen base and an RBI. Daphne Aravena was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
The win was the third in a row for Eau Gallie, bringing their record for this year to 15-6. As for Rockledge, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
As of now, neither Eau Gallie nor Rockledge have any future games scheduled.
