Soccer Recap: Paris Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Paris's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pittsburg Pirates on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Pirates are ranked 183rd).

Paris has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. The victory was the eighth in a row for Pittsburg, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Paris wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Liberty-Eylau on the 21st. As for Pittsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Mount Vernon on the 21st.
