There's no place like home for Washburn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Roosevelt Teddies on Wednesday. The Millers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Teddies, too.

Gia Scavotto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Frankie Bretl was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Emalyn Streifel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win got Washburn back to even at 2-2. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Washburn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 24-0 victory against Edison on the 21st. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 23-2 win against Camden on the 21st.
