Soccer Recap: New Hampstead Comes Up Short

After flying high against Johnson last Thursday, New Hampstead came back down to earth. The New Hampstead Phoenix lost 5-0 to the Effingham County Rebels on Tuesday. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

New Hampstead's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Effingham County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

New Hampstead has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against St. Vincent's on the 20th. As for Effingham County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Brantley County on the 21st.
