Football Game Preview: Powers vs. Triangle Lake

Triangle Lake have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Powers at 7:00 PM. Neither Triangle Lake nor Powers could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.

Things haven't been easy for Triangle Lake, and their game two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to four. They were completely outmatched, falling 7-44 to Jewell.

Meanwhile, Powers were successful in their last outing against Gilchrist, and they didn't afford Gilchrist any payback this time around. Powers were gifted an easy win last Friday as Gilchrist wound up forfeiting 0-2. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Powers's victory lifted them to 4-1 while Triangle Lake's defeat dropped them down to 0-4. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Powers better be ready for a battle.
