Soccer Game Preview: Dutch Fork vs. Lexington

Dutch Fork is 0-10 against Lexington since March of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Silver Foxes will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Lexington took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dutch Fork, who comes in off a win.

Dutch Fork took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand White Knoll a 7-0 shutout. That seven goal margin sets a new team best for Dutch Fork this season.

Meanwhile, Lexington faced Chapin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Lexington couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Shaelyn Smith, who's now up to three this season.

Lexington's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Dutch Fork, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Dutch Fork might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Lexington in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Silver Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
