Volleyball Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dunbar Wildcats. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Carter-Riverside sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 29-27, 18-25, 15-11.

Carter-Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 11-18-1. As for Dunbar, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Carter-Riverside will face off against Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunbar, they will host Bishop Dunne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
