Recap: Tuxedo Tornadoes vs. Eldred Yellowjackets
The Tuxedo Tornadoes were the 52-37 winner over the Eldred Yellowjackets when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Tuxedo fell just short of Eldred by a score of 50-47. Tuxedo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eldred found their leader in underclassman Kalob Fisher, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trai Kaufmann, who scored 13 points.
Tuxedo dropped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eldred, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuxedo will face off against Tri-Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tuxedo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 849th, while Tri-Valley is ranked 423rd). As for Eldred, they will head out on the road to take on Livingston Manor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eldred is facing Livingston Manor at the right time seeing as Livingston Manor is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
