Basketball Recap: Window Rock Takes a Loss

Window Rock made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gallup, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fighting Scouts fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 46-44 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Scouts in their meetings with the Bengals: they've now lost seven in a row.

Defeat or not, Window Rock got some senior leadership from Jaylen Brown and Makye Gilbert. Brown shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and five steals, while Gilbert posted 19 points. The game was Gilbert's third in a row with at least 19 points.

Window Rock's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gallup, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Window Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-36 defeat against Grand Junction on the 12th. As for Gallup, they have also already played their next contest, a 55-48 loss against Grants on the 11th.
