Basketball Recap: Jackson Baird's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grossmont over High Tech CV

The Grossmont Foothillers came up short against the High Tech CV Bruins on Tuesday and fell 47-36. The Foothillers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Foothillers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Baird, who posted nine points and six rebounds. Andrew Ashton was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Kyle Ilagan produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds for High Tech CV. What's more, Ilagan racked up six assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Ramos, who earned 11 points.

Grossmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for High Tech CV, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Grossmont has already played their next contest, a 58-34 victory against Classical Academy on the 5th. As for High Tech CV, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-53 win against Sweetwater on the 5th.
