Alden strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles with a sharp 16-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-2 back in April.

Lilly Bromstead made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Alden let Taylor Reardon and Sawyer Faso run wild. Reardon got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Faso went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Faso has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Jankowski, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with four runs.

Alden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.

Alden pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cleveland Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
