There's no place like home for Riverside, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bordentown Scotties 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Riverside's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Bordentown are ranked 17th).

Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. Having lost for the first time this season, Bordentown fell to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Riverside is taking a road trip to take on Trenton Catholic Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bordentown, they will welcome Moorestown Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
