Baseball Recap: Gahr Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Gahr's offense. They fell just short of the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Gahr got a good showing from Noah Irwin, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Gahr's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Harvard-Westlake, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Gahr will head out on the road to face off against Loyola at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will host JSerra Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
