Baseball Recap: Lumberton Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Lumberton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Palestine Wildcats 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since March 25th.

Lumberton's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Steininger, who went 2-for-6 with one triple and two RBI.

Lumberton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Palestine, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9-1.

As of now, neither Lumberton nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
