Softball Game Preview: Shawnee Redskins vs. Hardin County Cougars

The Shawnee Redskins will square off against the Hardin County Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Shawnee will be strutting in after a victory while Hardin County will be coming in after a loss.

Shawnee's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Scott City by a score of 3-0.

Not much got past Addilyn Clark, who gave up just ten hits and racked up six Ks to keep Scott City off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madalyn Schuster, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Ford, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Hardin County was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Crab Orchard, falling 9-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Hardin County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Shawnee, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
