Softball Preview: Astoria Fishermen vs. Clatskanie Tigers        
        
		
            Astoria hasn't had much luck against Clatskanie recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Fishermen will look to defend their home field  against the Tigers  at 3:30  p.m. Astoria's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so Clatskanie's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Last Tuesday, Astoria was able to grind out a solid  win over Banks, taking the game  6-2. The  victory continues a trend for the Fishermen in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won six in a row.
 Maddie Wilkin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Wilkin was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  run. Those  hits marked the first that  she  got this season.
