Softball Recap: County Line Comes Up Short

If County Line was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Westside last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The County Line Indians lost 13-7 to the Ozark Hillbillies on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Hillbillies: they've now lost five in a row.

Virginia Besier led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Olivia Reames was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, County Line fell to 2-1. As for Ozark, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. County Line will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Mulberry at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be County Line's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Ozark, they will square off against Cedarville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
