Basketball Recap: Stevens Takes a Loss

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Marshall Rams and fell 51-20. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-36 back in January.

Stevens lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrea Ortega, who posted six points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ortega a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Alyssia Murphy, who earned five points.

Marshall can attribute much of their success to Priscilla Menjares, who went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points. Marcella Sanchez was another key player, going 6 of 10 on her way to 16 points.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-30. As for Marshall, the win got them back to even at 15-15.

As of now, neither Stevens nor Marshall have any future games scheduled.
