Lower Merion took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Upper Darby, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lower Merion won by a run and slipped past Upper Darby 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Aces as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Tess Oelkers spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Lower Merion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Gilligan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Lower Merion's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Upper Darby, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
