Baseball Recap: Lansing Christian Wins Going Away Against Carson City-Crystal

Lansing Christian never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Carson City-Crystal Eagles 7-0. For the Pilgrims, this counts as revenge for the 8-5 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2017.

Ethan Damesworth made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Damesworth was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Will Marl was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Collin Leavitt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Lansing Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lansing Christian and Carson City-Crystal will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pilgrims will challenge rival Webberville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carson City-Crystal is set to face off against their familiar foe Fulton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
