Basketball Game Preview: Munford Lions vs. Anniston Bulldogs

Munford is 0-10 against Anniston since January of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Munford Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Anniston Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Munford came up short against Central of Clay County and fell 47-34. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Volunteers are ranked 119th).

Piedmont typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Anniston proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Bulldogs with a 66-60 victory.

Anniston is also on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Munford, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Munford was dealt a bruising 55-26 loss at the hands of Anniston in their previous matchup back in January. Can Munford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
