Baseball Recap: Huntington North's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Huntington North was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Plymouth on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pilgrims/Rockies on Saturday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pilgrims/Rockies earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Marcus Linker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Huntington North fell to 2-1. As for Plymouth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Huntington North will take on Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth, they will host LaVille at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
