Chaparral can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game in Monday's second game. They had just enough and edged the Medicine Lodge Indians out 9-7. The win was just what Chaparral needed coming off of a 12-3 loss in their prior game.
For Medicine Lodge's part, Avalon Theis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Cunningham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Medicine Lodge, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5.
Chaparral is on the road again on Thursday to play Kingman. Chaparral will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Medicine Lodge, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Douglass at 4:00 p.m. in Thursday's first game. Medicine Lodge is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
