The home team had won the previous three meetings between Cocke County and Northview Academy, and Cocke County kept the tradition alive. The Fighting Cocks were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Cougars on Monday. The Fighting Cocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 22 games by six runs or more this season.

Hailee Hartsell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Carsie Ellison was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Chloe Niethammer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cocke County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northview Academy only posted an OBP of .143.

Cocke County pushed their record up to 26-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northview Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Cocke County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Carter on the 6th. Northview Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
