Flag Football Recap: Pace Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against The Weber School on Tuesday, Pace Academy came back down to earth. The Knights fell 12-7 to the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions on Tuesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Jill Agami threw for 80 yards on 12 of 17 attempts. Lucy Fleming was her top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Kiyah Burrell rushed for 65 yards on only seven carries.

Pace Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for St. Pius X Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Pace Academy will square off against South Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. St. Pius X Catholic has already played their next contest (against Mount Paran Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
