Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Comes Up Short

Pawhuska lost against Glenpool back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pawhuska Huskies opened the new year with a less-than-successful 59-46 defeat to the Glenpool Warriors.

Despite the loss, Pawhuska saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jenson Snodgrass posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Dax Godsey, who put up ten points.

Pawhuska has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Glenpool, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will take on Barnsdall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenpool, they will venture away from home to challenge Stilwell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stilwell will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Glenpool surely won't give up without a fight.
