Basketball Game Preview: Bath Wildcats vs. Wauseon Indians

The Bath Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Wauseon Indians at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bath is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Shawnee on Thursday. Bath came out on top against Shawnee by a score of 37-27.

Meanwhile, Wauseon earned a 38-31 win over Tinora on Tuesday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Rams are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Wauseon, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Bath strolled past Wauseon in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a score of 44-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bath since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
