Baseball Recap: Harlan Comes Up Short

Harlan managed to slip by Jackson County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Harlan came up short against Jackson County on Wednesday, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Green Dragons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Harlan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Rouse, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jackson County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harlan will head out to square off against Betsy Layne at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jackson County, they will venture away from home to face off against Barbourville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barbourville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Jackson County surely won't give up without a fight.
