Basketball Recap: Arlington Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Arlington extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Britt Nielsen. The Arlington Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Douglas County West Falcon 48-45 thanks in part to Nielsen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 boards. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Douglas County West lost on Tuesday, don't look at Ava Grimm. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. That's the most points Grimm has posted since back in January of 2024. Ella Wiese was another key player, putting up nine points.

Arlington's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game.
