With a playoff win on the line, Wayne County rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 70-61 win over the McEwen Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Wayne County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cayman Camfield out in front who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Bell, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Camfield wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Wayne County was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. Wayne County is 23-5 when they've passed the ball that well.

Wayne County's record now sits at 25-8. As for McEwen, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-10.

Wayne County has already played their next game, a 49-43 win against Richland on the 10th. As for McEwen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-59 loss against Santa Fe on the 10th.
