Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Montgomery Knights vs. Righetti Warriors

The Bishop Montgomery Knights will take on the Righetti Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Bishop Montgomery not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th (when they won 16-1). They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over Pioneer Valley.

Pierson Howe tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Bishop Montgomery got a big performance out of Ethan Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Matthew Orozco, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Righetti). Everything went their way against Central Catholic on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-9 win.

Bishop Montgomery's record now sits at 12-9. As for Righetti, their record is now 12-7.
