Sterling hasn't had much luck against Longmont recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home pitch against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Sterling's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Union Colony Prep.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Longmont). Everything went their way against Valley on Thursday as they made off with an 8-0 win. Longmont haven't had any issues with Valley recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Longmont's offense was hitting Valley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Claire Sebring led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
Longmont's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Sterling, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
