Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amite County). They took their match on Monday with ease, bagging a 56-26 victory over the Wilkinson County Wildcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Wilkinson County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Meghan Knox, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Glen'Niya Gilmore, who scored eight points. The dominant performance gave Knox a new career-high in points.

Amite County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-17. As for Wilkinson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.
