Timpview is a perfect 4-0 against Springville since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Thunderbirds will look to defend their home field against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m.

Timpview had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Orem put an end to it on Friday. The Thunderbirds took a 22-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The contest marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even if they lost, Timpview's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Duncan Strong, Cooper Gleason, and Sam Hepworth, who each picked up one sack apiece. Timpview got some further help from Strong: he picked up a sack, made nine total tackles, and defended one pass.

Meanwhile, Springville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Golden Eagles 28-0. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 67th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Springville's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Timpview, they moved to 3-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Everything came up roses for Timpview against Springville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-24 victory. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
