Basketball Recap: Vernon Comes Up Short

Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Ponce De Leon Pirates and fell 69-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-46 on January 10th.

Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Ponce De Leon, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Vernon has already played their next game, a 63-28 defeat against Cottondale on the 28th. As for Ponce De Leon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-43 loss against Graceville on the 28th.
