Football Game Preview: Vincent Memorial Scots vs. Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets

Vincent Memorial is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. Vincent Memorial is looking for their season's first win.

On Friday, Vincent Memorial ended up a good deal behind Coastal Academy and lost 21-7.

Meanwhile, Palo Verde Valley was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to Cibola. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 777th in California, while the Raiders are ranked 159th in Arizona).

Vincent Memorial will have to contain Darrius Scott as he made an impact in Palo Verde Valley's last game. He rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Vincent Memorial strolled past Palo Verde Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
