Soccer Game Preview: Forney vs. Tyler Legacy

The Forney Jackrabbits will face off against the Tyler Legacy Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Forney is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Forney's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on North Forney with a sharp 6-0 win. The Jackrabbits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting North Forney from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Devyn Gee led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Tyler Legacy's match on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They blew past Royse City 3-0. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Forney pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. As for Tyler Legacy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 9-4.

Forney was able to grind out a solid win over Tyler Legacy when the teams last played back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forney since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
