Soccer Recap: Kane Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Kane was not quite St. Marys's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flying Dutch. While losing is never fun, Kane can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 490th, while St. Marys are ranked 166th).

Joshua Ayala and Tracy Johnson scored both of Kane's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Kane dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Marys, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Kane will venture away from home to face off against Elk County Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Marys, they will take on DuBois at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
