Soccer Game Preview: Huss vs. Kings Mountain

The Huss Huskies will head out to square off against the Kings Mountain Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kings Mountain took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Huss, who comes in off a win.

Huss took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Crest get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Andre Hally and Oberson Janot scored all three of Huss' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Kings Mountain managed to keep up with South Point until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mountaineers lost 7-0 to the Red Raiders. While losing is never fun, Kings Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 495th, while South Point are ranked 88th).

The victory got Huss back to even at 8-8-1. As for Kings Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.

Huss took their win against Kings Mountain in their previous meeting on October 1st by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
