Football Recap: Exeter-Milligan/Friend Takes a Loss

Exeter-Milligan/Friend dropped to 1-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Shelby-Rising City Huskies, falling 46-10. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-2.

Will Kallhoff threw for 31 yards on nine of 20 attempts. On the ground, Keltyn Kirchhoff rushed for 37 yards.

As for Shelby-Rising City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average this season.

Carter Eickmeier was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 56 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. Eickmeier is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Logan Lindsley was in the mix too, providing Shelby-Rising City with one score.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend and Shelby-Rising City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bobcats are set to challenge their familiar foe Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shelby-Rising City will face off against rival Heartland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
